NOPD officers made multiple arrests last week including suspects wanted in connection with such offenses as aggravated assault, armed robbery, sexual battery and burglary. Officers also confiscated three handguns.

April 17

Chris Taylor (DOB: 9/17/1974) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident happened in the 7800 block of Coronet Court on April 9, 2017, and Taylor was apprehended in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.

Carlos Alberto (DOB: 9/23/1980) for sexual battery. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of North Villere Street on March 27, 2017. He was arrested in the 3400 block of Cleveland Street.

Michelle Martin (DOB: 1/07/1995) for aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery. The incident occurred in the 4500 block of Shalimar Drive on April 12, 2017, and she was arrested in the 4900 block of Werner Drive.

Travon Johnson (DOB: 11/15/1998) for armed robbery, illegal possession of stolen things, illegal carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon. The incident took place in the 7800 block of Spruce Street on April 13, 2017, and he was apprehended in the 5100 block of St. Claude Avenue.

April 18

Danisha Robinson (DOB: 4/10/1992) for attempting to cash fraudulent checks and access device fraud. The incident happened on April 16, 2017, in the 8400 block of South I-10 Service Road and she was arrested in the 10100 block of Dwyer Road.

April 19

Brian J. Noonan (DOB:  4-4-97) for burglary of a business, and criminal damage to property. The incident took place in the 4400 block of Woodland Drive on April 16, 2017.

Carl J. Giraulo (DOB: 4-2-95) for burglary of a business, and criminal damage to property. The incident took place in the 4400 block of Woodland Drive on April 16, 2017.

John Kentrell Brown (DOB: 7-28-1980) for robbery. The incident occurred at the Family Dollar store in the 3600 block of South Carrollton on April 16, 2017, and he was arrested in the Third District.

April 20

The VOWS Unit and Iberville Sheriff Deputies arrested Terrence Knight (DOB:  10/07/1980), for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault w/firearm, illegal discharge of a weapon and domestic abuse battery. He was apprehended in the 21200 block of Highway 1 in Plaquemine, LA. The incident occurred in the 500 Block of Huntlee Drive, on April 14, 2017.

Jerrod Ross (DOB: 12-16-1999) for aggravated battery by shooting. The incident took place on April 2, 2017, in the 4600 block of Michoud Boulevard and Ross was arrested at his home. Officers also confiscated a handgun.

Louis Deamore (DOB: 3-17-1994) for possession of marijuana, illegal carrying of a weapon, and illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics. He was arrested during a traffic stop in the 4900 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard. A handgun was also confiscated.

April 21

Nathenial Smith (DOB:  1-11-1979) for burglary. The incident happened in the 300 block of Camp Street on January 29, 2014. Smith was apprehended in the 2500 block of North Roman Street.

VOWS and the U.S. Marshals arrested Nicholas Bournes (DOB: 5/28/1990) for aggravated burglary. The incident occurred in the 14000 Chef Menteur Highway on March 13, 2017, and he was arrested at 500 Poydras Street.  

VOWS and NOPD Seventh District officers arrested a 13-year-old juvenile for two armed robberies with a firearm. The first incident occurred at Joliet and Edinburgh streets on December 6, 2016  and the second incident took place in the 7600 block of Earhart Boulevard on March 1, 2017. He was arrested in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road.

April 22

Johanna Brown (DOB: 3-03-1997) for aggravated battery by cutting. The incident took place in the 3700 block of North Robertson and Brown was arrested on the scene.
