Vehicle Stolen during Armed Robbery on Boston Drive

Vehicle Stolen during Armed Robbery on Boston Drive

The NOPD is searching for a 2007 maroon Chevrolet Impala vehicle that was taken during an armed robbery.

The incident happened on April 7, 2017. At about 4:30 p.m.,the victim gave a ride to a female and parked the vehicle in the 7200 block of Boston Drive. As the female exited the vehicle, the victim was confronted by three unknown black male subjects. One of the subjects, armed with a firearm, demanded that the victim exit the vehicle and surrender his property. A physical altercation ensued between the victim and subjects, and the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The subjects then fled in the victim’s car in an unknown direction.

The victim stated that the vehicle has a dent on the rear driver’s side fender, and the paint on the vehicle’s hood is faded. The rear windows of the vehicle have tint, and only the left side tires have hub caps. The vehicle is also described as having a Louisiana plate number of YHM376.
