UPDATE: One of Three Suspects Wanted for Auto Burglary on Notre Dame Arrested

UPDATE: On Monday, April 25, NOPD Eighth District detectives located and arrested Richard Marshall Jr. (DOB: 11-01-1982) in connection with this incident. Marshall is charged with one count of simple burglary of an automobile. The arrest came in coordination between the Eighth District and First District investigative units. Marshall was located in the Orleans Parish Justice Center, having been earlier arrested on a fugitive attachment from California.

The two remaining suspects in this incident are still at large. Anyone with information on this incident or the two remaining suspects is asked to contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080. ORIGINAL RELEASE: The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying three suspects for their involvement in an auto burglary.

The incident happened on April 23, 2017.  At around 5:44 p.m., three black males were seen on surveillance video exiting a gray, Dodge Charger and entering a parking lot in the 300 block of Notre Dame Street. At that time, the driver of the vehicle shattered the victim’s window of his vehicle. The driver then took multiple items while two other subjects assisted as the driver’s lookout for anyone coming into the parking lot. All three subjects fled in the suspect's vehicle on Notre Dame Street then in an unknown direction.

At around 6:30 p.m., the victim discovered his vehicle completely ransacked with a backpack missing from the rear seat. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a grey, 2017 Dodge Charger, four door sedan, with a LA license plate of N449669.
