Suspect Identified in Domestic Aggravated Assault with a Firearm on Pauger Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Raymond Emilien (DOB: 07-19-1975) in connection with a domestic aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on April 7, 2017 in the 2100 block of Pauger Street.

At about 5 p.m., the victim and the wanted subject were having drinks, at which time the wanted subject allegedly became enraged and struck the victim multiple times with a broomstick. The wanted subject then reportedly punched the victim several times in the face with a closed fist, before then allegedly pointing a firearm and threatening to kill the victim. The wanted subject then retrieved the victim’s keys and cellular phone from the residence without permission, before exiting the location and fleeing the scene in the victim’s rental vehicle.

Through the course of investigation, Emilien was developed as the suspect in this incident.

When located, Emilien will be arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, second degree battery, domestic abuse battery, theft and unauthorized use of a movable. Emilien is believed to be armed and dangerous.
