NOPD Searches for Suspect, Vehicle Used in Attempted Kidnapping

The NOPD is looking for a white sedan that was used in an attempted kidnapping on April 23, 2017.

The victim reported that around 6 p.m. she was walking eastbound on Dwyer Road approaching Flake Avenue when a white four-door sedan drove past her and parked at the corner of Dwyer and Flake. An unknown black male exited the vehicle and approached her, telling her that she was coming with him.

The perpetrator then grabbed the victim’s arm and began pulling her toward his vehicle. She resisted and was able to break free and flee the location. The victim stated that during the struggle she was able to take photographs of his vehicle, which is believed to be a 1990-2000 Dodge sedan.

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark brown complexion. He is 5’9” tall with a heavy build, bald head, and a gray goatee. There is a dark birthmark on the right side of his face, and he was wearing a green t-shirt and blue jeans.
