The NOPD is investigating a homicide that claimed the life of a male victim.
At around 6:15 p.m., First District officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 300 block of Jane Alley. Upon arrival, officers observed an older male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of an abandoned residence. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. At around 7:10 p.m., the victim was pronounced dead.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
