NOPD Arrests Suspect for Possession of Stolen Firearm

On March 31, 2017, the NOPD arrested Keney Thompson (DOB: 08-02-1987) after he was found to be in possession of a firearm reported as stolen.

On the date of the arrest, Seventh District officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Curran Boulevard and Unity Street. During investigation, the driver – identified as Thompson – was found to be in possession of a firearm that was reported as stolen.

Thompson, who was also found to have a prior felony conviction, was arrested and booked into Central Lockup on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm
