NOPD Arrests Suspect for Drug, Firearm Violations at Hayne Boulevard and Downman Road

On April 12, 2016, the NOPD on April 12, 2017, arrested Tyrin E. Wiltz (DOB: 12-06-1994) on drug and firearms violations.

At about 1:55 p.m., Seventh District officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the location. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Wiltz. A search of Wiltz and the vehicle found Wiltz to be in possession of approximately 6 pounds of marijuana, 36 Ecstasy tablets, 106.5 Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia. Officers also discovered that Wiltz was in possession of a handgun.

Wiltz was booked into Central Lockup on charges including two counts of possession of Schedule I CDS with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a Schedule IV CDS with intent to distribute and illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics, along with various traffic violations.
