The NOPD today (April 2, 2024) briefed media on a recently discovered error regarding crime data reported by the department’s Special Victims Section for the years of 2021 and 2022, and how the department is working to correct the reporting.

A public hearing will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, to update the U.S. District Court on the City’s implementation of the Consent Decree. The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Susie Morgan, located in Room C-316, Third Floor of the United States Federal Courthouse, 500 Poydras St., New Orleans.
