On April 30, 2020, NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Alkia Edwards (pictured, DOB:11/05/01) and four other juvenile suspects for an auto theft incident that occurred on the same say.
In the morning, a silver 2019 Buick Envision was stolen from the 4600 block of South Johnson Street. Later, officers observed the vehicle being abandoned by the suspects near the intersection of Hempstead and Edenboro Roads. Officers quickly established a perimeter and apprehended the suspects.
Officers recovered three guns: an Arms Core Precision AK22 rifle (pictured), an Astro 9mm handgun, and a Ruger 9mm handgun.
