Suspect Arrested for Armed Robbery after Hit and Run Incident in Fifth District

The NOPD Seventh District has arrested Calvin Craig (DOB: 6/16/1980) today (Sept. 21) after he was involved in a hit and run with a stolen vehicle that was used in an armed robbery.

On Thursday, (Sept. 21) at approximately 11:30 a.m., Craig (DOB: 6/16/1980) was involved in a hit and run at the intersection of North Derbigny and Mandeville Street. Through the course of the investigation, Fifth District officers determined that Craig was driving a stolen vehicle used in an armed robbery on Wednesday at the Family Dollar (Sept. 20) in the 4500 block of Michoud Boulevard.

He was arrested and booked accordingly into Central Lockup.
