Subject Arrested by NOPD for Theft, Drug Possession on Crowder Boulevard

On September 26, 2017, NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Jimmy Lee Johnson (DOB: 10-25-1986) in connection with a theft that occurred in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard

At approximately 3:44 a.m., Johnson was observed by Seventh District officers as driving recklessly while leaving a business in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard. The officers conducted a traffic stop, at which time Johnson fled on foot. The officers followed Johnson to his residence, where he was apprehended and arrested. A search of Johnson’s vehicle revealed a small bag of vegetative matter believed to be marijuana. Officers also learned that Johnson was suspected of allegedly stealing a can of beer from the business on Crowder Boulevard.

Johnson was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for theft, reckless operation of a vehicle, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
