NOPD Investigates Homicide on Kimi O'Gray Avenue

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Kimi O'Gray Avenue

The NOPD is investigating a double shooting that left one female victim dead and one male victim critically injured.

At around 4:54 p.m., HANO police received a call regarding a complaint from the main office of an apartment complex in the 3600 block of 3601 Kimi O’ Gray Avenue.  HANO police then notified Fifth District officers after discovering a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside of an apartment.

The victim female was pronounced dead on scene by EMS while the male victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. He is currently listed in critical condition.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
