NOPD Arrests Three for Possessing Stolen, Illegal Guns

The NOPD Sixth District arrested Kenneth Muse (DOB: 1/7/1999), Jordan Hollerman (DOB: 7/29/1997) and a 16-year-old juvenile male on Saturday (Sept. 23) for illegal possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property.

Sixth District General Assignment officers observed Muse standing outside of a store in the 1900 block of Magazine Street with what appeared to be a gun on his front waistband.  Officers then exited their police vehicle at that time Muse observed police and then ran inside of the store. Once in the store, officers located Muse and recovered a Glock (model 30) .45 caliber hand gun with an extended magazine containing 28 live rounds on him.

Two additional officers then observed another subject, later identified as Jordan Hollerman having a bulge on his waist and alerted other officers. Officers were then able to retrieve a Glock handgun from him.

Through the course of the investigation, the 16-year-old juvenile male was also arrested in the area for possessing a stolen Smith and Wesson .40 handgun. The firearm was reported stolen out of Jefferson Parish.

All subjects were arrested and booked accordingly.
