NOPD Arrests Suspects in Armed Robbery on Alcee Fortier Boulevard

The NOPD has arrested Alvin Hollway (DOB: 03-20-1986) and Stacey Madison (DOB: 11-13-1991) in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on September 26, 2017 in the 4600 block Alcee Fortier Boulevard.

The victim told police that at about 11:15 p.m., he was sitting in his vehicle when two unknown black males exited a nearby white Pontiac sedan and approached on foot. The victim said one of the subjects produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim’s head, demanding the victim vacate the vehicle. As the victim complied, the armed subject then demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim complied. The subject then entered the vehicle and threatened to harm the suspect if he told anyone about the incident, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.

Shortly after the incident, Seventh District officers had been notified about the reported stolen vehicle. Officers patrolling in the area located a vehicle matching the stolen vehicle description and conducted a traffic stop, finding two subjects later identified as Hollway and Madison, inside the vehicle. The two were detained and positively identified by the victim as the perpetrators.

Each suspect was charged with armed robbery in this incident. Additionally, Hollway initially provided false information to officers and was subsequently booked with resisting an officer by false information.

Investigation into this incident remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information pertaining to these subjects is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
