The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (October 2, 2026) in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue.
Just before 7:00 a.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to the location for a reported shooting and located an adult male on scene suffering from gunshot wound(s). The subject was subsequently declared deceased on scene by medical personnel.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
