Suspect Wanted For Armed Robbery

New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying a suspect wanted for armed robbery and aggravated battery by shooting.  

According to investigators, shortly after 7:50 a.m. today (10/23/24) in the 4400 block of Banks Street the pictured suspect approached the victim, who was in her halted automobile. During the robbery, the suspect fired a handgun through the driver's window, wounding the driver. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was transported to hospital via New Orleans EMS.     

The suspect was described as being a Black male, medium build, wearing a black hoodie (with an unknown white-color design on the front), and light blue basketball-type shorts. 

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If spotted citizens should call police and not try to interact with the suspect.
