Suspect Arrested For Auto Theft

New Orleans Police have arrested a suspect wanted for auto theft.

Arrested is Henry Coleman, Black male, DOB 03/30/1977. He was booked at Central Lockup on charges of theft of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a stolen motor vehicle. 

All persons are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. 

According to investigators, around 2:12 p.m. on October 16, 2024 Henry Coleman stole a 1997 Nissan Sentra from a location in the 7800 block of Exeter Street.

Fifth District officers located Henry Coleman with the stolen Nissan at an address in the 4800 block of Florida Avenue around 12:45 p.m. on October 17, 2024 and took him into custody. The stolen vehicle was also confiscated for return to its owner. 

Henry Coleman is suspected of having been involved in other vehicle thefts in New Orleans.
