Suspect Sought by NOPD in Second District Business Burglary

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in identifying and locating the perpetrator of a business burglary that occurred on October 4, 2022, in the 4500 block of Freret Street.

At about 2:19 a.m., the pictured unknown subject arrived at a business in the 4500 block of Freret Street on the pictured bicycle. The subject pried open the front door to gain illegal access to the location. Upon entry, the subject then unsuccessfully attempted to pry open the business’ cash register before taking the register and a digital tablet, placing the property in a backpack and fleeing the scene on the bicycle.

The subject is believed to have a mustache and possibly a beard. The perpetrator’s bicycle is believed to be a road-style bike with a thin seat and straight handlebars.
