NOPD Seeking Suspect in Aggravated Burglary in Second District

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated burglary that occurred on September 2, 2022, in the 4900 block of Freret Street.

At about 9:15 p.m., the pictured suspect was seen entering a business at the location and threatening an employee of the business and grabbing a register. A physical altercation ensued between the suspect and victim, during which the suspect grabbed multiple cartons of cigarettes. The suspect used a nearby garbage can bag to carry the cigarettes and fled the store. The suspect fled the area on the pictured red bicycle.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male, believed to be in his 30s or 40s and standing approximately 5’9” in height with a short haircut and goatee. He was last seen wearing the pictured clothing – a white T-shirt and dark colored jeans.
