NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in Eighth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Toni Dunbar (pictured, black male, DOB: 07-31-1961) in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm on October 10, 2021 at the intersection of Gravier Street and Loyola Avenue.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives determined that a male suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to shoot her while the two were driving separate vehicles following an incident where the suspect allegedly cut the victim off in traffic.

As the investigation progressed, detectives positively identified the suspect as Dunbar and obtained an arrest warrant on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.
