Listed below are arrests or clearances by warrant obtained between October 3-9, 2021 in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:
Shootings
- On October 8, 2021, NOPD Eighth District detectives arrested Jerry Rodriguez (pictured at top, black male, DOB: 03-06-2002) for two counts of aggravated battery by shooting and Olivia Turner (pictured at bottom, black female, DOB: 08-12-1999) for two counts of principal to aggravated battery by shooting. The incident occurred at the intersection of Girod and Commerce streets on October 5.
Armed Robbery
- On October 6, 2021, NOPD Third District detectives obtained an arrest warrant for a 14-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for first-degree robbery. The incident occurred in the 7300 block of Onyx Street on Sept. 13.
- On October 8, 2021, NOPD Third District detectives arrested a 13-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for first-degree robbery, and also obtained an arrest warrant for a 14-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for first-degree robbery. The incident occurred in the 6900 block of Louisiville Street on October 5.
- On October 8, 2021, NODP Third District detectives arrested a 13-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for armed robbery and illegal possession of stolen things. The incident occurred in the 900 block of Lopez Street on August 17.
- On October 8, 2021, NOPD Third District detectives arrested a 13-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for armed robbery and illegal possession of stolen things. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Paul Morphy Street on August 17.
- On October 8, 2021, NOPD Third District detectives arrested Lonzina Ward (not pictured, black female, DOB: 12-18-1987) for principal to first degree robbery and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The incident occurred in the 6900 block of Louisiville on October 5.
