Suspect Sought in Eighth District Armed Robbery

Suspect Sought in Eighth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a suspect in the investigation of an armed robbery with a knife that occurred on September 25, 2019.

At about 4:48 a.m., the victim was reportedly walking north in the 900 block of St. Louis Street when he was approached from the front by an unknown black male who goes by the nickname of “Slim.”  The suspect allegedly approached the victim holding a small pocketknife in his right hand, demanding the victim’s property.  The victim complied, providing the suspect his wallet and currency.  The suspect then reportedly fled on Conti Street towards North Rampart Street, then unknown. 

The suspect was described as being approximately 5’9” and weighing about 160 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a pair of gray colored shorts, dark colored t-shirt, black slippers with black socks and observed wearing a dark-colored bandana or skull cap on top of his head.
