NOPD VOWS Officers Arrest Three Suspects in Assault, Battery Incidents

Members of the NOPD’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad arrested three suspects today in connection with two ongoing investigations.

Those arrested include:

  • Fredricka Cage (DOB: 10-05-1973) for aggravated second degree battery and simple battery in an incident that occurred in the 8500 block of Chef Menteur Highway on October 3, 2017. Cage was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Jefferson Parish.
  • Akyshala Richardson (DOB: 05-10-1996) for principal to aggravated second degree battery and simple battery in an incident that occurred in the 8500 block of Chef Menteur Highway on October 3, 2017.
  • Murphy Brown (DOB: 09-29-1994) for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count each of illegal discharge of weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property, domestic abuse battery and theft in an incident that occurred in the 4900 block of Corsica Place on September 6, 2017. Brown was also arrested on a municipal attachment.
