Suspects and Stolen Vehicle Sought in Incident on North Derbigny

The NOPD is looking for two suspects wanted for stealing a vehicle at North Derbigny and Frenchmen streets.

On Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 3:15 a.m., the victim reported that he attempted to enter his vehicle when he was approached by two black males. The first suspect implied he was armed and demanded the victim’s money and vehicle keys. The victim complied and the two suspects got into the vehicle and fled west on North Derbigny.

The stolen vehicle is a white 2004 Infinity G35 with Louisiana license plate number YHW549. A photo of a similar make and model vehicle is included below.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 5’9” tall with a medium build. He has a brown complexion and a goatee and was wearing dark clothing.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 5’11” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

Carjacking

Louisiana law states that Individuals convicted of carjacking shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than two years and for not more than 20 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
