Suspect Identified In Homicide on General Meyer Avenue

The NOPD has identified Ronnie Smith (DOB: 7-20-1994) as a suspect wanted for a murder in the 3300 block of General Meyer.

 

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on October 8, 2016, officers responded to a call of shots fired. Upon arrival they discovered an unknown black male lying in the parking lot of a business at General Meyer and Flanders streets. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital.

 

As a result of the investigation, Smith was identified as a suspect in the incident, which is classified as second degree murder. A photo of Smith is included below.
