NOPD Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect in Incident on Alcee Fortier Boulevard

An unidentified black male is suspected of robbing a victim in front of Ly’s Supermarket in the 4700 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard on October 15, 2016. The NOPD is seeking help from the public in identifying and locating this individual

At about 10:30 p.m., the pictured subject allegedly lifted his shirt to show the victim a firearm and then demanded the victim give up the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then struck the victim several times to the body with his fists and then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Photos of the suspect can be found below. The suspect is believed to reside in a nearby apartment complex and frequents the area of the supermarket. Police consider the suspect armed and dangerous.
