NOPD Looking for Suspect in Aggravated Assault with a Firearm on America Street

The NOPD is looking for Gerard Renfroe (DOB: 05-18-92) after he reportedly displayed a gun during an argument on America Street on September 29.

According to the victim, Renfroe and his girlfriend were arguing outside of her home in the 4200 block of America Street around 9:30 p.m. Hoping to end the argument, Renfroe’s girlfriend told police she eventually went inside the residence to go to her room. A relative of Renfroe’s girlfriend, who was also in the house, told police he heard glass breaking and a window being smashed. The relative then relocated to the front door and observed Renfroe. The two exchanged words and Renfroe eventually lifted up his shirt, displaying a gun.

A photo of Renfroe can be seen below.

Once located, Gerard Renfroe will be arrested and charged for aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and simple criminal damage. Renfroe is also currently on parole for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
