The NOPD is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred today (Oct. 26) at the intersection of Alvar Road and Pleasure Street.
Just before 5 p.m., NOPD Traffic Division officers responded to a call of a downed motorcycle and rider at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered the crashed motorcycle and unresponsive victim lying nearby. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and cause of death, upon autopsy and notification of family.
