NOPD Arrests Suspect for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

The NOPD's Violent Offenders Warrant Squad arrested Denzel Daggs (DOB:11/23/1994) today (Oct.26) after he reportedly pointed a firearm, and threatened to kill a victim.

The incident happened on October 21, 2016. At around 5:45 p.m., the victim and her son were walking along Martin Drive when Daggs approached the victim, produced a semi-automatic pistol and threatened to shoot the victim and her vehicle. The victim ran inside of her home with her son.  Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Daggs and obtain a warrant for his arrest.

Daggs was located at his residence in the 6900 block of Lake Kenilworth Drive at around 11:15 a.m. Daggs is booked with aggravated assault with a firearm.
