Chuck Wexler, the Executive Director of the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) will serve as the keynote speaker at the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation's annual Stake Out for Justice luncheon today (Oct. 11).
PERF is a national membership organization of police executives headquartered in Washington, D.C. that focuses on improving policing and advancing professionalism by fostering debate, research and an openness to challenging traditional police practices. Each year, the NOPD, with the support of the NOPJF, sends promising leaders within the NOPD to PERF training.
Honorees at the annual fundraising event will include Hermes Beyond the Parade and the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel team. Third District Officer Jonathan Burnette will receive the Badge of Honor Award and fallen Officer Natasha Hunter will receive the award posthumously.
