Carjacking Reported on South Olympia Street

Carjacking Reported on South Olympia Street

NOPD is looking for a carjacking suspect and the vehicle taken during the incident.

 

On October 6, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the victim reported that he parked his truck in front of his residence in the 300 Block of South Olympia and was approached by an unknown black male wearing all black clothing. 

 

The unknown male brandished a semi-automatic firearm and demanded the victim’s keys. The victim complied and perpetrator got into his black 2014 Dodge Ram, Outdoorsman Edition, and fled north on South Olympia. The truck has Louisiana license plate number Y150497. A photo of a similar make and model vehicle is included below.

Carjacking

Louisiana law states that Individuals convicted of carjacking shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than two years and for not more than 20 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
