UPDATE: NOPD Investigating Negligent Injury on Newton Street

UPDATE: The incident initially reported as a shooting on Newton has been changed to a negligent injury. Police determined that the victim suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim has been treated and released from the hospital and is being questioned by police.
