NOPD Investigating Homicide in First District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on November 22, 2025, in the 500 block of South Miro Street and left two victims dead.

At about 9:15 p.m. on November 22, NOPD First District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males inside of a vehicle and having sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were transported via EMS to a local hospital, where they were both subsequently declared deceased.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as to determine motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victims and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
