NOPD VOWS, U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in NOPD Investigation of October Homicide

NOPD VOWS, U.S. Marshals Arrest Suspect in NOPD Investigation of October Homicide

On November 18, 2024, the NOPD’s Violent Warrant Offender Squad and the U.S. Marshals located and arrested a 15-year-old juvenile black male suspect in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on October 7, 2024, in the 5100 block of Bundy Road.

Around 8:46 p.m. NOPD Seventh District officers responded to the call of a male shot at the location. Upon arrival, officers found a 15-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds and non-responsive. The victim was declared deceased on scene. 

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives developed and positively identified the juvenile suspect as the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for one count of second-degree murder.

The juvenile suspect was arrested on November 18 without incident, transported to the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center and booked accordingly.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
