The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Clarionta K. Jones (pictured, black female, DOB: 04-22-1995) in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on November 22, 2022, in the 3200 block of Rue Parc Fontaine.

At about 6:30 p.m. on November 22, the victim was reportedly standing near their parked vehicle along with seven additional individuals. At that time, a known female subject walked past the group and the victim allegedly asked the subject to return property. The subject then reportedly produced a handgun, pointed it at the victims and fired several gunshots. No injuries were reported. The subject then reportedly fled on foot.

Through investigation, NOPD Fourth District detectives developed and positively identified Jones as the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jones on eight counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of illegal use of a weapon.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
