Listed below are significant arrests or clearances by warrant obtained by the NOPD between October 30 and November 5, 2022, in criminal incidents and/or investigations:

First District

• On November 2, NOPD First District detectives arrested Ashley Juge (black female, DOB: 06-02-1093) on a charge of principle to armed robbery. The incident occurred on October 15 in the 500 block of South Genois Street. Juge was also arrested in connection with three additional theft/burglary incidents in the First District that occurred between November 2-4.

Second District

• On November 4, NOPD Second District officers arrested Ernest New (black male, DOB: 03-18-1986) on charges of illegal carrying of a weapon and illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The incident occurred on November 4 in the 2800 block of Amelia Street.

Third District

• On October 30, NOPD Third District officers arrested Steven Thompsson (black male, DOB: 04-24-1992) on charges of illegal possession of narcotics and illegal possession of a firearm. The incident occurred on October 30 in the 3100 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.
• On November 2, NOPD Third District officers arrested Felix Jackson (black male, DOB: 12-07-1974) on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery. The incident occurred on November 2 in the 4200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

Fourth District

• On October 31, NOPD Fourth District officers arrested two 17-year-old juvenile black males on charges of illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile and flight from an officer. The incident occurred on October 31 in the 2600 block of General DeGaulle Drive.

Fifth District

• On October 30, NOPD Fifth District officers arrested Kendrick Young (black male, DOB: 07-10-1980) on a charge of illegal carrying of a firearm. The incident occurred on October  in the 1600 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.

Sixth District

• On November 1, NOPD Sixth District officers arrested Phillip Calloway (black male, DOB: 06-27-1990) on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, illegal carrying of a firearm and illegal carrying of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The incident occurred on November 1 in the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
• On November 2, NOPD Sixth District officers arrested Vionka Carter (black female, DOB: 04-14-1970) and a 14-year-old juvenile male in connection with an attempted murder incident that day in the 3200 block of 3^rd Street. Carter was arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, illegal carrying of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm by someone convicted of domestic abuse battery. The juvenile suspect was arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile.  

Eighth District

• Between Oct. 30 and November 5, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested the following suspects on illegal carrying of a firearm or related charges:
  • Aaron Abraham (black male, DOB: 10-12-1998), arrested on November 6 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Anthony Barnett (black male, DOB: 06-26-1999), arrested on November 5 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Jakwan Jones (black male, DOB: 03-10-2001), arrested on November 4 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Aljuan Martin (black male, DOB: 05-09-2003), arrested on November 1 at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets.
  • Eric Davis Jr. (black male, DOB: 04-09-2004), arrested on November 1 at the intersection of Conti and Bourbon streets.
  • August Collins (black male, DOB: 04-07-1997), arrested on November 1 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Lance Cordova (black male, DOB: 09-25-1998), arrested on October 31 at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets for felon in possession of a firearm.
  • Juan L. Smith (black male, DOB: 12-14-1994), arrested on October 31 at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets.
  • Jamon Scott (black male, DOB: 03-06-2003) and Trey Shelton (black male, DOB: 11-09-2003), arrested on October 31 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Christopher D. Crawford (black male, DOB: 08-03-1990), arrested on October 31 in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Jamal A. Smith (black male, DOB: 11-17-1990), arrested on October 31 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Orion B. McDougle (black male, DOB: 12-27-2000), arrested on October 31 at the intersection of Conti and Bourbon streets.
  • Joshua Richardson (black malae, DOB: 10-02-2004) arrested on October 31 in the 700 block of Bienville Street.
  • Janero Johnson (black male, DOB: 09-19-2004), arrested on October 31 on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm. Johnson, along with a 15-year-old juvenile male, was also arrested on an illegal possession of a firearm charge. The arrest was made in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Jeffery Thomas (black male, DOB: 02-15-2002), arrested on October 30 in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Lance Milton (black male, DOB: 11-18-2000), arrested on October 30 in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Charleston Walker (black male, DOB: 08-20-199) arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Reynaldo Rivera (white male, DOB: 09-22-199), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Akil Daniles (black male, DOB: 10-09-1933), arrested on October 30 at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets.
  • Harriell Lewis (black male, DOB: 05-06-1999), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Tamarcus Brown (black male, DOB: 10-30-1989), arrested on October 30 in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Dontas Robinson (black male, DOB: 04-09-1997), arrested on October 30 at the intersection of Burgundy and Conti streets.
  • Tyron L. Newman (black male, DOB: 07-03-2000), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Jahari Levy (black male, DOB: 01-16-1985), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Andre G. Carter (black male, DOB: 04-15-2003), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
  • Kedrick Devezin (black male, DOB: 02-21-1993), arrested on October 30 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
• On November 3, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Kevin D. Royal (white male, DOB: 11-24-1998) on a charge of aggravated criminal damage to property. The incident occurred on November 3 in the 600 block of Loyola Avenue.
• On November 1, 2022, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Breanna Roy (black female, DOB: 03-01-1998) on charges of attempted simple robbery (purse snatching) and aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident occurred on November 1 at the intersection of Poydras and South Peters streets.
• On November 1, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Erin Desdunes (black male, DOB: 06-07-1983) on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery by shooting. The incident occurred on October 27 in the 500 block of Burgundy Street.
