Wanted Suspect Identified by NOPD in Fourth District Aggravated Assault, Battery Incident

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Tyrhonda Delaney (pictured, black female, DOB; 06-09-1984) in the investigation of an aggravated assault and battery incident on October 30, 2021 in the 3000 block of General DeGaulle Drive.

At about 10:30 a.m., the victim was reportedly in a verbal argument with another subject – positively identified as Delaney – when the victim armed herself with a gun. After allegedly issuing threats, Delaney then reportedly injured the victim’s face with the weapon.

Delaney is wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated battery.
