Subjects Wanted for an Unarmed Carjacking in the Fifth District

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating three unknown subjects who are involved in an unarmed carjacking incident that occurred November 20, 2021. 

At around 12:17 a.m., the victim was approached by three unknown male subjects at a gas station in the 4400 block of Chef Highway.  The pictured subject is one of the three subjects who took the victim’s keys while he was giving them a ride.  The subjects then attacked the victim and took possession of his car at a gas station in the 5200 block of North Claiborne Avenue. 

The stolen vehicle was a Hertz rental and is described as a blue 2020 Nissan Rouge bearing Louisiana license plate #N555275.  For reference purposes only, a picture of a car similar to the vehicle stolen is posted below. 

 

Anyone with information regarding the identity and/or whereabout of the pictured subject, the other two unknown subjects or the reported stolen vehicle is asked to contact NOPD Fifth District detectives and/or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
