NOPD Arrests Suspects on Drug, Narcotics Charges in Seventh District

On October 22, 2021, the NOPD arrested  Brandon Eserman (pictured at left, white male, DOB: 07-30-1982), Kimberly Weikum (pictured at center, white female, DOB: 02-05-1974) and Megan Hecker (pictured at right, white female, DOB: 08-18-1992) on multiple charges stemming from a traffic stop at the 4400 block of Dodt Avenue.

NOPD Seventh District officers conducted a traffic stop at the location. During the traffic stop, officers encountered a female subject later identified as Weikum. During the course of investigation. Officers determined that Weikum was operating a vehicle reported stolen from St. Tammany Parish. It was also discovered that Weikum resided in and also owns property in an area known for narcotics activity in the Seventh District.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the locations and, during a search, located Eserman at the location and in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, three firearms and one airsoft rifle. One of the firearms was also found to have been reported stolen out of DeSoto Parish.

Additionally, Hecker was also found at the location and arrested for outstanding warrants unrelated to the narcotics investigation.

Eserman was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of weapons while in possession of narcotics and for possession of a stolen firearm.

Weikum was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for illegal possession of stolen things, unauthorized use of a moveable and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Hecker was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for felony domestic aggravated battery, domestic abuse battery and theft. These are outstanding warrant charges unrelated to the narcotics investigation.
