NOPD Arrests Suspect, Identifies Second Suspect in Eighth District Armed Robberies

The NOPD has arrested Tamaj Fazande (pictured at left, black male, DOB: 03-28-2003) and has obtained an arrest warrant for Tyrone Clayton (pictured at right, black male, DOB: 02-07-1997) in the ongoing investigation of two armed robbery incidents on November 16, 2021 in the Eighth District.

NOPD Eighth District officers responded to two armed robbery calls, one in the 200 block of Saint Charles Avenue and a second in the 600 block of Poydras Street. In both incidents, the victim reported two unknown black males had robbed them at gunpoint.

One of the suspects in this investigation, identified as Fazande, was arrested a short time later. Through investigation, detectives developed and positively identified Clayton as the second perpetrator in this incident.
