NOPD Announces Violent Crime Arrests Between November 7-13

Listed below are arrests obtained between November 7-13, 2021 in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:

Shootings

  • On November 8, NOPD Fourth District detectives arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) on charges of aggravated battery by shooting, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. The incident occurred on August 9 in the 1500 block of Southlawn Avenue.

Armed Robbery

  • On November 12, NOPD Sixth District officers arrested Rodney Curtis (pictured, black male, DOB: 09-11-1988) for armed robbery, use of a firearm in a robbery, aggravated second-degree battery, aggravated assault with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. The incident occurred on November 12 at the intersection of 4th Street and Loyola Avenue.
  • On November 12, NOPD Second District officers arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) for armed robbery. The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Stroelitz Street.
  • On November 12, NOPD Second District officers arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) in connection with two incidents. The suspect was booked with armed robbery, use of a firearm in an armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and possession of stolen property. The incidents occurred on November 12 in the 7800 block of Stroelitz Street and in the 800 block of Valence Street.
