Listed below are arrests or clearances by warrant obtained between October 24-30, 2021 in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:

Shootings

• On October 25, 2021, NOPD Fourth District detectives arrested Corey Roberson (pictured at top, black male, DOB: 10-07-1979) for aggravated battery by shooting. The incident occurred at the intersection of Belleville and DeArmas streets on October 23.

• On October 26, 2021, NOPD Fifth District officers arrested Helena McQueen (not pictured, black female, DOB: 08-02-1984) for principal to aggravated battery by shooting and principal to aggravated assault. Officers also obtained an arrest warrant for Alfred Joshua (not pictured, black male, DOB: 11-17-1968) for aggravated battery by shooting and aggravated assault. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of North Claiborne Avenue on October 26.

Other significant arrests

• On October 27, 2021, the NOPD arrested Ronnie Lambert (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-25-1981) and Rashon Hester (pictured, black male, DOB: 09-24-1981) on narcotics and weapons charges in the Sixth District. The arrests came based on investigation of illegal narcotics operations taking place in the 1800 block of Clara Street. More than $2,000 in cash, multiple illegal drugs including heroin, powder cocaine, crack cocaine and methamphetamine; and three reported stolen firearms were recovered. Lambert was booked with illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics (two counts), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of Schedule I and Schedule II CDS. Hester was booked with illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon and possession of Schedule I and Schedule II CDS.
