NOPD Seeks Armed Robbery Suspect in the First District

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is seeking information that can lead to the identification and arrest of a suspect involved in an armed robbery incident that happened on November 12, 2019.

At around 6:46 p.m., surveillance cameras captured an unknown male attack the victim as he was returning to his car located in the 1600 block of Lapeyrouse Street (The robbery is captured on video between 2:50-3:12).  The suspect threatened the victim with a gun before demanding his car keys and stealing his car.  The suspect fled south on Lapeyrouse Street, and then west on North Claiborne Avenue.   

The stolen vehicle is a dark gray 2019 Nissan Altima bearing Louisiana license plate 469CYL.  The vehicle also has white tow yard lettering on the driver’s side window.  For reference purposes, the posted photo is of a vehicle similar in color, year, make and model of the stolen car.
