NOPD Seeking Information about Fraud and Cruelty Suspect

The NOPD is looking for information regarding Steve John (pictured, DOB: 3/27/1985) who is wanted for residential contractor fraud, misapplication of payments, and false personation. 

On October 16, 2019, John allegedly agreed to complete construction work on the victim’s home located in 3500 block of Rue Denise.  The victim paid John $9,500 in cash, however John did not perform any work on the home.   John reportedly committed the same crime against a homeowner in the 3700 block of Rue Nichole. 

John is wanted in Pennsylvania and Michigan for similar crimes.

John is currently being held in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility for similar charges.
