Persons of Interest Sought in Simple Robbery Incident on Dauphine Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subjects as persons of interest after they were observed on surveillance video using a debit card that was reported stolen during a simple robbery incident.

The victim told police that on November 18, 2018, she was in the 400 block of Dauphine Street asking for directions when an unknown vehicle arrived, occupied by three female subjects and one transgender male.

The male subject reportedly advised the victim to get into their vehicle. The victim complied and stated that she needed help finding her hotel. The male subject then stated that they needed gas money and they relocated to an ATM in the area.

The victim advised officers that she went to the ATM to withdraw some cash with the intentions to only give the subjects $20 for gas. The victim stated that after making the transaction, she reentered the subject’s vehicle and the male subject took $20 from the victim.

Shortly after, the male subject reportedly became irate and took the victim’s additional cash, credits cards, identification cards and hotel key. The subject allegedly pushed victim out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

Anyone with any information regarding the subjects’ identity and whereabouts is asked to contact Eight District detectives at 504-658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
