NOPD Investigates Homicide on Lancelot Drive

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Lancelot Drive

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred tonight (Nov. 15) in the Seventh District.

Seventh District officers responded to a call of shots fired at or around 6:45 p.m., in the 4600 block of Lancelot Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest area.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.

There are no further details available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine an official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
