Suspect Arrested for Illegal Possession of Firearm, Resisting an Officer

The NOPD Seventh District arrested Eddie James (DOB: 05-01-00) for illegal carrying of a firearm and resisting an officer on Monday, November 27, 2017.

At around 12:34 a.m., Detectives Michael Sartain and Dylan Warter attempted to conduct a suspicious person stop on James in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard. However, James was seen fleeing from the officers on foot, removing the above firearm from his waistband and discarding it in a nearby parking lot. 

James was eventually apprehended and transported to Central Lock-up. The firearm recovered was identified as a Smith and Wesson .380.
