The victim told police that she had parked her silver 2009 Honda Civic two-door car in the 1200 block of Japonica Street. She said that as she exited her vehicle, she was approached by two unknown black females on foot. The first female allegedly approached and asked the victim if she could use the victim’s phone, to which the victim refused. The three then engaged in discussion before the first female allegedly lifted her shirt and revealed a black metal square-shaped handle of a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. The victim complied and the subjects entered the vehicle and fled down Japonica Street. The vehicle was later recovered on Oct. 31 at the intersection of Abundance and Metropolitan streets.

The second subject was described as a brown-complexioned black female wearing a shirt which exposed her mid-drift, with purple colored streaks in her hair and appearing to be in her mid-teens.
As investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were able to positively identify the juvenile as the first suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Intake Center, where she was booked for armed robbery with a firearm and armed carjacking.
