Suspect Wanted in Armed Robbery on Crowder Boulevard

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a female suspect believed to be responsible for an armed robbery of the Dollar General store at 5700 Crowder Boulevard on November 13, 2016.

At about 10:30 a.m., the pictured individual entered the store and began concealing items in her oversized shoulder bag. The subject was then approached by store employees, who told police that they have observed the individual shoplift in previous instances, and requested her to return the items. The subject returned the items in her hands, but refused to return the items concealed in her shoulder bag. The subject then produced a knife and waived it at the employee, threatening to use the knife on the employee. The subject then fled the location with various items taken from the store.

Through the course of investigation, Seventh District detectives learned the subject goes by the nickname “Blackberry.” She is described as being 40 to 50 years of age, standing approximately 5’6” and weighing about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue and grey sweatshirt, with a grey and white camouflage tee-shirt underneath, grey sweatpants and a red beanie-style hat

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this suspect is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
